Children’s Storytime
Children’s Storytime for ages 0-5, Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. A fantastic time to borrow books, enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays and rhymes!  With a “letter of the day” and a focus on one of the five early literacy practices, songs, crafts and the opportunity to meet new library friends!

The Summer Reading Program, “A Universe of Stories”
Registration is open for the Summer Reading Program! Blast off with books at the Cobleigh! Pick up your reading logs at the library or on Books on Wheels. Program details are available on our website, and brochures can be picked up at the library and on the Bookmobile.

Upcoming Summer Reading Programs:

  • STEM Space Challenge with Colleen Lariviere. Tuesday July 3rd @ 2:00 p.m. Moon rover activities with STEAM expert Colleen Lariviere. Think like mission control, or be the moon rover yourself!
  • Tinkering Tuesday- Every Tuesday in July, starting July 2nd @ 2:00. Drop by the children’s room and try a different space-themed tinkering project each Tuesday. Grades kindergarten and up.
  • Space Jewelry. Thursday July 11th @ 2:00 p.m. We will make beautiful space-themed bracelets and necklaces while we learn about the size of the planets.
  • Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Live Webcast. Monday, July 15th @ 4:00 p.m. What was the sequence of this incredible mission? Where on the moon did they land? And how did they return safely to Earth?  Join us for a guided recreation to see how this mission was executed by crew members and mission control in Houston. Presented by the STAR Library Network’s NASA @ My Library program and the American Museum of Natural History.
