Children’s Storytime will be taking a break in August. We will begin again on Tuesday, September 5th at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesday September 6th at 10:30 a.m.

Literacy Fair with Modern Times Puppet Theater – Presented by Books on Wheels III

Fri. August 11 from 11 AM to 1:00 PM

Modern Times Puppet Theater returns to help us celebrate our summer! Pizza and Summer Reading Prizes at noon, and a free book! We’ll announce how much we raised for Read to Feed and vote for how to use the funds, too!

Modern Times Puppet Theater delights family audiences with their handmade wooden and papier mache puppets, in a modern Vermont update of the age-old Punch and Judy show. Mr. Punch, the world’s oldest clown, never knows when enough is enough! He’s always making a mess of himself and his environment. When Punch finds himself living in a trash heap, he needs the help of smart children and their smart parents to learn how to make do or do without.

Read to Feed

Let’s Build a Better World, one book at a time! Join the Readathon for the month of July and get sponsors for your reading to help raise funds for Heifer International, an organization that helps families around the world with gifts of livestock and training.  Pick up a sponsorship form at the library. Join the Cobleigh’s Read to Feed page online to track our progress and help spread the word.  https://fundraise.heifer.org/cobleigh.  Read to Feed will run from July 1- 31. We will vote for which animals to donate at our Annual Literacy Fair on August 11th, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.
