The Children’s Room is known for its very family friendly space. Families use the space to play with puppets, read together in the rocking chair, and use the toys or play the piano. Parents help or supervise their children on the computers. Parents can check their email while their children look for books. Students are invited to visit the library after school and for homework help.
New families are encouraged to visit the library anytime. Many programs are held in the children’s room–parents find this a welcome connection to each other. If there are any questions, Tina Achilles, the children’s librarian, can help with answers.

There is a bulletin board for homeschoolers and a board with general information. Tina has contact with the homeschool network if your family wanted to be added to the homeschool email list. If you want to be added to the library publicity email list, please let Tina know.
